Here's me doing my best vogue impression in layers (if I look awkward it's because I am!)
Layers are my favourite thing at the moment, not just for the look but just like mama said they keep you warm and toasty! Finding good pieces to layer in a variety of different ways is the fastest way to looking fresh.
To start with
If you don’t feel confident about mixing tones and colours then stick to just one colour and mix it up with different textures, then if you want you can add an accent colour (green in my case) I went for hijab and trousers. Just keep it fairly neutral to start with or you may end up looking like you just fell into your wardrobe (I’m talking from personal experience here!).
And then
Once you’ve got that down then you can start playing around with themes. I really like the idea of juxtaposition, putting tailored almost masculine trousers with a frilly very feminine skirt. The reason this works so well is that your eye is drawn to each individual item and it doesn’t all blur and look messy. This also goes for colours. here my hijab and trousers are a similar tone but they’re separated by a totally different colour, this keeps it balanced and stops it looking top, or bottom heavy.
Don’t be scared!
It doesn’t have to complicated. Just lay out a bunch of clothes on your bed and get layering in front of a mirror. Trust your judgement and find a beautiful hijabi look you feel comfortable in!
Let me know how it goes. X

Kawaii, this is the Japanese side of you. Japanese are so good at layering their clothes. I tried to layer but failed..it makes me look bulkier.
