My sister and I on the day of my nikah

My sister and me on the day of my nikah

A Moment in Hijab…

I know it’s not exactly a style statement but I love this photo, and it symbolizes what I’m trying to achieve from this blog. It was the day of my Nikah and me and my sister decided to take a time out, so she covered us both in her scarf and we had a little moment! My brother (an amazing photographer) took the photo, I didn’t realise he had taken it but I’m so glad he did.

A picture worth a thousand words

This is what I want from the blog. A place for sisters to feel safe and connected and where they can be reminded how beautiful and special they are. So the next time you get a look of pity or accusation just remember that you aren’t alone. Wearing hijab is my choice and as much as the negative opinions of others can bring you down I get strength from wearing it, the way only sisters know how.

Thanks, I’m so glad you like it! Yes it was one of the first things I designed and made after I became Muslim.

Your words brought tears to my eyes…I myself experienced the looks of pity and the negative opinions. But my Hijab made me strong in ways people dont really understand…and it was all my choice :)
Love your Blog
