Perfect plus size
The Hijabi Guide
Following a recent comment from one of my readers about the difficulties of wearing hijab when you’re curvier I decided to make a post about it.
I’ve been revising (reading my old fashion mags..) plus size fashion and have been trying to put together some tips and tricks to make covering those womanly curves slightly less stressful.
I hope you find it useful
Starting with the negative as always..sorry the writing’s small, it looked bigger when I was making it..

And some things to try:

Hijab Tips: Perfect Plus Size
A great plus size fashion website with lots of hijabifiable pieces for good prices to – http://www.ullapopken.co.uk/
And finally, a plus size hijab outfit I made. The waistcoat would be best worn open and provides extra coverage as well as style of course
Notice I have used an over-sized bag and sunglasses – this is another good trick when accessorising: the bigger the better

Masha’Allah I LOVE this outfit. I am so going to invest in a dress like that, but it’s sooo hard since Winter’s coming around soon here in Aussie!
I’d like to mention that the real big issue for us queen size women in hijab is the style of hijabs. Most small busted women don’t think about where the hemline of a hijab falls, but for us who are large busted, this can be an issue. We aren’t wanting to draw attention to our breasts or our hips, so the issue can be important.
Another issue is the tailoring taking place in jilbabs. Far too often the jilbabs or abayas are making it so the body is revealed due to darts along the bust line & the multi-paneled jordanian jilbabs that slim the silloutte of the wearer, revealing her womanly curves. It may not be an issue for thin women, but it is for curvy women.
Women of large size don’t want to be wearing tops that have hems at the waistline, over long skirts. They need to create the long silloutte look. Assemtrical hemmed tunics over full length underskirts are better for such body types.
Far too many designers assume Queen sz means “size 18″ but that is in fact the smallest of the queen size & the one least likely to be dealing with body issues with fashion. Even your own survey failed to offer the body type of “barrel type” in its choices or anyone over a size 18. So please be aware of this when designing. Everyone plus his sister seems to be designing for the smaller women. Few if any seem to design for larger women & they are the ones least likely able to adapt the off-the-rack clothing of the fashion world in general.
salamz, where can we purchuse these outfits?. i like da pinkst dress
