Modest and Mellow

Nude tones were all over the Spring/Summer catwalks. From Gianfranco Ferre to Bottega Veneta was the subtle glow of peaches and cream that made floaty dresses all the more ethereal. It definitely makes a welcome change from my favourite greys and blacks without being too overwhelming.

Making me Blush

For summer, creamy blush colours will help to keep you cool in the sun, and help put you in a sunny mood. Careful that the fabric is fully opaque by running your hand behind it and holding it up to the light to check how much light gets though. Just use your judgement or it won’t just be your garments blushing!

With sleeves this dress from Gianfranco Ferre could be a beautiful abaya, simple structured shape in an elegant toffee tone!
