Halston

Effortless Elegance
Halston is the benchmark for understated beautiful dresses. They are so spectacularly crafted that they look effortless. Believe me, these kinds of dresses are the most difficult to make well. I love the old Hollywood vibe, and the seamless simplicity. Most of all though they are surprisingly modest. Maybe it’s because of the vintage influence, but the shapes aren’t tight and prints are used sparingly. They could be abayas quite easily with very little alteration.

Their signature is the asymmetric bias cut dress, and no body else does it better. I love the floaty quality they have without having ruffles and lots of volume. Just sleek and sophisticated.

Discovering lines
I love the way the fabric has been manipulated creating shapes that reveal other textures underneath.

Beautiful Blues
The blue gown below is one of my favourites. So simple but stunning.
The only problem is the price! And the fact that finding anything similar in the average persons price bracket is pretty much impossible. Mostly down to the fact that the way the fabric is cut is very expensive to manufacture and the fabric itself is perfect quality.
These are definitely investment pieces, gowns that don’t date. The kind of thing that gets passed down and worn and loved for generations. So if you think about it they’re really quite a bargain! (That’s me trying to justify it)
Well maybe one day.

I thought I’d leave you with this, a gorgeous dress in a stunning colour. Who could ask for anything more from fashion, except maybe a little less leg.

Love the way the designers that inspires you inspires me also I also love the Halston dresses the way they drape not too figure hugging and definately timeless. Ossie Clark dresses, Issa dresses, Tibi, Dolce an Gabbana, Missoni, Elie Saab, and even Valentine do beatiful pieces which are timeless and also very beatiful to wear. I always always look out for these designers. Just wish they were a little cheaper!
