Haori hijabi

Kimono are great for hijab styles, the full length ones are dramatic pieces, but for a more wearable style go for the haori (a shorter length kimono). They still provide a loose cover up, and come in the most beautiful fabrics and prints but if you’re unsure about going head to toe a haori is a great starter.

Dressed up or dressed down you can wear haori with almost anything, the only rule- keep it simple.

How to wear

For a more formal look go for simple colours and a long skirt or tailored trousers, or to soften it up a bit team it with jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt.

Hijab style

For a hijabi, as much as I love them in their original state, I’m thinking maybe I should customize one and see what happens. As much as I love the sleeves they aren’t the most practical so maybe something in that area. Maybe create some interesting drape, hmm there’s an idea brewing.
