I love when celebrities dress modestly at award shows, there are times when those floor sweeping gowns they are a headscarf away from being a hijabi outfit. It’s not just celebrities who go for the long dress on their special day, brides everywhere dress in stunning long dresses, and they have the veil to match !

The ’swish’ appeal

I think there’s something about long dresses that make us women feel fantastic. All that fabric kicking out around our feet, there’s something very fairy-tale about the whole thing. Now I’m definitely not a girly girl, but put me in front of a stunning Azzedine Alaia, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, (yes the list goes on and on) and my heart race that little bit faster. Incidentally our Unlikely Inspiration Angelina Jolie is a big fan as you can see…
