I see…

Another beautiful photo taken by my brother.
I’ve already had some great responses to this on the Facebook group. The aim is to finish the sentence, there is no wrong answer and it can be as long or short as you like. I’ll be posting up answers from the discussion now and then, because it’s lovely to hear what you girls have to say. And let’s face it we can all use the encouragement from time to time! So how would you finish the sentence? Let me know
When I see a Muslim Woman I see…
A woman who has aspirations beyond the life of this world. Someone who has chosen to be judged on the strength of her character and not the vessel it resides in. I’ve lived as both, covered and uncovered. In covering I found something unexpected, an end to the cattiness and jealousy that comes when you use your beauty to vie for the attention of others. Instead you are sisters offering the world a vision of beauty beyond physical attraction.
Where looks will fade and the perception of beauty will change, youthful enthusiasm will give way to worldly wisdom. You can accept the flaws you have been blessed with, and see Islam in your sisters. There is no more obvious way to express your faith than to wrap yourself head to toe in it.
