Doing Denim

Hijab Style

Modest fashion jeans

This is a post for Uzz who is looking for alternatives to heels with jeans. She described her style as “…a little tomboyish but with a feminine twist.” which is perfect for me because it’s what I love! So here are three options to work with.

Kitten Heels and Boyfriend Jeans

Option 1

Modest fashion jeans

For loose jeans you’ve got a couple of options, wide leg flares or slouchy boyfriend style denim. I quite like putting together quite a masculine look with really feminine details so the kitten heels work very well indeed.

Hijabi style heels

Flats and denim

Option 2

Islamic fashion loose trousers

Ballet pump style flats are a life saver when it comes to being on your feet all day. These moccasin style ones work well with almost any outfit, they’re smart enough for most occasions but if you want a bit more glamour then go for ballet pumps.

Muslim style shoes pumps

Converse and Jeans

Option 3

Muslim fashion casual urban

Possibly my favourite shoes, there’s not much I don’t wear them with. But they do go rather well with slouchy wide-leg jeans, and give an edgy casual look. Maybe I’m biased but out of the three I thought I saved the best till last.

Hope that helped. X

nur added these pithy words on Jan 11 10 at 11:57 am

*wear socks with it?

nur added these pithy words on Jan 11 10 at 11:57 am

I do tend to wear socks, although a lot of the time I’ll wear flesh coloured ones. To be honest I was never sure whether it was allowed or not, so I thought I’d stay on the safe side. Any ideas? Also I hate having cold feet! You can see the same moccasin flats in this post with the flesh tone socks.

kool!
awesome ideas!

but the 2nd look seems too long..
and the jeans might get dirty and cant be use for prayer..
may be you can improvise it a bit..
just my 2 cents..
=)

What a beautiful website, I suppose even women of other faiths who prefer loose modest clothing may enjoy this, and I love the chic looks.

I got them from asos.com but it was quite a while ago so I’m not sure if they’ll still have them. I hope they do! x

I absolutely love all your outfits! I’m not Muslim but I would totally wear them! I love how covering they are (I hate having to worry about bending over because my skirt/dress is too short, ugh).

sister your skin is perfect! Are you Japanese? (sorry if this has been asked before)… You look 20, but I think you are about…. 25-27, am I right??

Hana, did you ever end up finding out if socks are necessary or if barefoot was ok? I almost always wear sandals or thongs, barefoot, but during prayer I wear socks. Ive never really found a definite answer, and I have noticed that of late you have been showing your feet so I figured that perhaps you have found proof? Would be great help if you could let us know, thanksssss. xx
