Brighten Up
Modest Dressing in Colour

Goodbye Grey Skies
It’s been so dark and grey lately I thought I’d brighten things up a bit with my Zara maxi dress. Because it’s got so many colours I never know what to wear over the top, then I had a lightbulb moment. You could go for light or dark denim and I’ve seen quite a few of these mens shirts around lately. They’re a great alternative to a denim jacket but give the same effect. Plus it breaks up the colour so it doesn’t look too co-ordinated and you can use near enough any colour headscarf.
P.S. I love my new SLR!

I loooove how the colours in this outfit go so well together. What material is the hijab scarf made of? It looks thick but sits nicely around your neck.
Aa Hana, lovely combination, colourful and very personal to you. I tried to get into this long bead necklace trend but it just seemed to interfere with the layers in my hijab (even underneath) – or end up cutting up my “line” as I am short. I’m not explaining very well but do you have any tips on choosing the right necklaces? Thanks. x
Please a video on how you wear your hijab. You look fabulous!
this is all kinds of awesome. LOVE the dress. love your styling, too.
You look great! Love the juxtaposition of floaty coral with the practicality of good old denim

ASA sis. I absolutely love this look. It has inspired so many creative thoughts in my head for my own wardrobe! Love the site as well. As a new Muslimah, I was plagued with thoughts that I would never be stylish again once I decided to don hijab. I think it has made me MORE stylish because it forces me to go outside of the box, experiment, and really pull things together that I might not have done before:)
Wow, you look beautiful,
the maxi dress is so pretty![]()
Salam Hana! Zara has such lovely flowy maxi dresses, yes ?
Also, I love the light pink piece on the mannequin next to you… Even though it might just be half-done lol, looks simply feminine.
amazin serously that could brighten up anyday
just proves you should never shy away from wearing bold colours
Love this! I just bought a same kind of maxi dress… gonna try this style
