Correio Braziliense
Had a really lovely little interview with Correio Braziliense (A newspaper from the capital of Brazil). They ran it in print an a lot more online too. Shame I can’t speak Portuguese, although I do quite like foreign language articles, it means I don’t nitpick!
You can check out the online article, interview, and cover too.

I just received the ordered from Maysaa. The quality is really good and packaging is also very profesional! Thanks Hana
Hana, congratulations!
I’m a Brazilian revert and I find it great that someone finally spoke about hijab in my country. The muslim community in Brazil is fairly small compared to the christian and jewish communities; and to be honest I’ve never seen a single hijabi woman walking on the streets of Sao Paulo during the 8 years I’ve lived there.
I’m happy that hijab finally got to the media in Brazil. Brazilians are usually very open minded and accept different cultures (this is what we’re made of: a big mix of peoples and cultures), but it’s kind of strange to them to see a woman fully covered in such a hot weather (6 months really hot, 3 months like your Spring and another 3 months like your Autumn). Maybe now they’ll understand, find it beautiful and get interested about it and the religion – insh’Allah!
If I can be of any help translating whatever materials or even your website into Portuguese, please let me know – I’ll be glad to help.
Cheers!!
Oh, on another note: pretty name!
Beautiful and muslim flower!![]()
