<h4><span style="color: #cc0066;">New Vintage</span></h4>
<p>I love the look of the 1920&#8217;s and 1930&#8217;s. It speaks of glamour and feminine elegance without figure hugging silhouettes. The loose, dropped waist is the perfect style for hijabi&#8217;s. We also start to see a lot of bias cutting and experimentation with grain line thanks to Madeleine Vionnet who was a pioneer of the method which gives fabric movement.</p>
<h4><span id="more-873"></span></h4>
<h4><span style="color: #cc0066;">Fluid Fringing</span></h4>
<p>This season designers such as Alberta Ferretti have revisited the prohibition era with fringing, straight silhouettes and a touch of glam. Ferretti in particular has stayed true to the original appeal with flapper dresses reinvented for 2009.</p>
<div id="attachment_878" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 608px"><img class="size-full wp-image-878" title="Hijab Fashion: Alberta Ferretti" src="http://www.stylecovered.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/albertacollage.jpg" alt="Hijab Inspiration: Vintage glamour reworked for 2009" width="598" height="497" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Hijab Inspiration: Vintage glamour reworked for 2009</p></div>
<div id="attachment_880" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 330px"><img class="size-full wp-image-880" title="Islamic fashion: Burberry Prorsum" src="http://www.stylecovered.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/1930burberry-prorsum.jpg" alt="Modest shapes: 1930's glamour by Burberry Prorsum" width="320" height="480" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Modest shapes: 1930&#39;s glamour by Burberry Prorsum</p></div>
<h4><span style="color: #cc0066;">Modest Glamour</span></h4>
<p>At Marc by Marc Jacobs and Burberry we saw a much more casual approach to this trend. Day dresses were still glamorous but when teamed with masculine trenches there was just a hint at the sleek femininity beneath. This contrast in styles helped make the designs relevant and edgy.</p>
<div id="attachment_883" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 210px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-883" title="Hijab style: Mar by Marc Jacobs" src="http://www.stylecovered.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/1930marc-by-marc-jacobs-200x300.jpg" alt="Islamic Inspiration: Layer jackets with pretty dresses for casual glamour" width="200" height="300" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Islamic Inspiration: Layer jackets with pretty dresses for casual glamour</p></div>
<h4><span style="color: #cc0066;">Bugsy Malone</span></h4>
<p>I&#8217;ve been in love with the look ever since watching Bugsy Malone. They were very clever with the wardrobe. Being kids they couldn&#8217;t be over sexy or revealing, and this era is full of inspiration allowing you to feel graceful and girly without putting your body on show.</p>
<div id="attachment_888" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 545px"><img class="size-full wp-image-888" title="Muslim Fashion: 1930's" src="http://www.stylecovered.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/photoshoot-inspiration1.jpg" alt="Muslim Modesty: Clean lines and high shine" width="535" height="771" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Muslim Modesty: Clean lines and high shine</p></div>
<p><span style="color: #333333;">So get with this new vintage by taking the key points of the trend:</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0066;"><strong>Dropped Waist</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0066;"><strong>Slick Fabrics</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0066;"><strong>Wear glam dresses with trench coats</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0066;"><strong>Use chic fringing for ultimate glamour</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0066;"><strong>Use embellishment sparingly, for understated sparkle</strong></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #cc0066;"><span style="color: #888888;">Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.</span><br />
