Love and Heartache

I bought this stunning Chris Benz maxi skirt in the Outnet £1 sale, so yes it was only £1.  However it is très long and I had to take it up, but anyone who’s worked with altering anything cut on the bias will know it’s not that simple.  A double layered bias cut fine silk pin hem= panic and heartache.  One consolation is that I didn’t pay the £550-ish retail price, instead it cost me £1, plus £5.95 postage, plus a few tears and hair tearing.

On a happier note, don’t you just love the Alexa Chung for Made necklace it’s my new favourite accessory, fair trade is a beautiful thing. An awesome company!

I mixed up the styling on this shoot, some totally covered up, some with skinny jeans and short sleeves.  I kind of wanted to show how versatile each piece can be, and to let girls know that anyone can be a Maysaa girl whether they cover up or not.  It’s all about how you fall in love with a piece.

I made those heels too, a very last minute addition!

The Lengths We Go To

As requested by ‘City’ I’ll be putting up a few posts on maxi skirts, one of my favourite trends at the moment.  It can be tricky to style them but when you find a style that suits you you’ll find a friend for life.  Jersey maxi skirts are a great place to start for something more casual, and go for drapey to feel the swish at your feet à la Miss Bilson.  As usual celebrities have picked up on the trend- here are my favourites.
